Queer Care is a collective of radical queer herbalists in the Bay Area, who organize events as a healing resource for our communities. At these events we offer free workshops on herbal medicine + community health, and create spaces where herbalists and medicine-makers can vend affordable medicine. Many of us have family/community in LA and we're excited to partner with + connect with local healers to offer Queer Care LA!

Gender Justice LA is an ADA-compliant space, with gender neutral restrooms. We ask that you please do not wear chemical or natural fragrances. We are aiming for as low-scent space as possible, but be advised there will be products for sale which contain essential oils and/or natural plant smells. One or more air filters will be running throughout the day.
We look forward to seeing you there!
The organizers of Queer Care have also composed a Statement of Purpose, here below. We hope this helps you all get to know us a little better!
QUEER CARE STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
We are a group of queer radical herbalists organizing intentionally as a multi-racial collective with diverse class, religious, and ability backgrounds. We are committed to healing justice, radical mental health, and class accessibility. We aim to create and support community for queer herbal practitioners and folks seeking herbal healing, via educational events, skillshares, and workshops that center herbalists of color and resist cultural appropriation. Because of the ways in which capitalism and government regulation control and commodify sacred and community-based herbal traditions, we seek to contribute to an alternative model of access to herbal medicine.
