On Wednesday B and I returned from our northern trip to see my mom. We did not end up going as far north as I thought was needed because my dad picked my mother up after her release from the hospital and brought her down to his house to visit. I got to say after the phone conversations that I had with her and the quality of her health improved dramatically. It was a real treat to be able to see her, escape Los Angeles for a few days, and reconnect with family and a very special northern California friend on the way back home. My work keeps me pretty local, and I'm still looking to branch out a bit to places so that I can combo visits with the people I love and generating some necessary income in the process. I'm looking at three places at the moment and deciding how to go ahead but those would be Albuquerque, new mexico, NorCal around the Walnut Creek or Concord area, and it's looking like there could be a possible venue in New Hampshire... It's far but an exciting prospect.
My deepest gratitude to all of you who helped me with the trip. What an incredible show of support. I thought about everyone who sent messages, booked appointments, readings, and donated to the cause my entire trip. I mean that. Driving home, getting gas in the car, and not worrying about the impact --because gas is so expensive!-- I kept sending out little thank you's and heart-smiles. I could not have done this without you.
My mom is surprisingly well considering the stroke and subsequent collapse and hospitalization. Healers, you know what to do! Nice work. She goes in again to the hospital for a small procedure in August, which I am planning for, to take care of an advanced GERD condition that has affected her stomach and esophagus but we're all much more upbeat about the thing. To be honest, and you know what I mean, it could be worse. There is no cancer. There wasn't an extra stroke. Nothing advanced to a life threatening state.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I cannot express how much your support meant to me and my family at this time.
