In December of 2010, in the midst of my T.O.W: Living Temple, study I took on a second process, Light Body Training. I had some hesitation on a few points and you may remember me writing about them. I had trouble articulating what I was consciously choosing to undergo. I wrote:
Then as I relaxed into the learning I began to explore what this light, or energy, really is. Wow. I can even surprise myself. Light isn’t the blinding white brilliance that was on every new age movement sticker or advertisement all through the 1990′s. No it was the force that moves. A light that awakens. A power that loves. A wisdom that shines. It comes in many colors and vibrations… “Wait. I know this.” What I thought just got in the way.
Their [Daben & Orin's] process is also a quickening. You can study at your own pace as they are audio files (disc and tape versions are still available) and you move with the attunements at your pace. [My pace] I felt was relatively leisurely but the transmission of energy from the channeled beings Orin and Daben awaken the light body. It’s different, chakras are a part of it but the body of light they build is something new, familiar and yet alien, and the transmissions are lightening fast.
As I said, I surprised myself. I even had a freak out, which a few people know about as I consulted with some trusted sources. In short what I experienced was fear, as I changed rather abruptly, and then the “wow-we” opening that continually brings a sense of… I don’t know any other word for it but bliss, when I’m truly in it.
I’m still within that process. I have my tea, my oil, meditation, friends and presence to see my through this passage. It’s enlightening, it really is. The world is a different place.
Spirituality means waking up. Most people, even though they don’t know it, are asleep. They’re born asleep, they live asleep, they marry in their sleep, they breed children in their sleep, they die in their sleep without ever waking up. They never understand the loveliness and the beauty of this thing that we call human existence. You know — all mystics — Catholic, Christian, non-Christian, no matter what their theology, no matter what their religion — are unanimous on one thing: that all is well, all is well. Though everything is a mess, all is well. Strange paradox, to be sure. But, tragically, most people never get to see that all is well because they are asleep. They are having a nightmare.

I am now approaching a years Study and completing the schooling (if I may call it that) that is the building of the light body. I have not written much about it. A lot of what has happened within me is, at this point, a bit hard to explain but one thing is certain, from the T.O.W. and the LB coursework I am "getting it," my living experience.
"Getting it" is not a cliche eluding to some vast know it all "I understand the everything" new age mumbo-jumbo, I mean my life has opened and I can see without need for Dogma that I, we, are completely interconnected beings. Equal. Searching. Natural. All with a purpose. I get it that the "Occult" isn't occult at all and that there is a lot of hodgepodge in the way within many systems that stands between us and what Sandra Ingerman re-framed as direct revelation, in Awakening to the Spirit World, the Path of Direct Revelation.
The shortest and simplest explanation of what one can experience is the recognition that what is happening in the mind and our perception is in fact happening, and I'm finding that certain senses are now unique. In the unique sensory recognition is a clear communication of the invisible, the sensual, the psychic or "spiritual." I can clearly define what is my thoughts and what is my perception and within the perception which of these are extra-sensory.
I see where I have always had this area of thought, if I can explain it as if it is a zone of the mind, but the last year my ability to discern and make distinct has improved. I have myself to thank for choosing great teachers, and great teachers to thank for giving us good and practical lessons and experience to make this possible.
I got me some gratitude. :)
The back of the Living Temple of Witchcraft says, "...is for solitaries, eclectics, and non-traditional witches who are ready to integrate the mysteries and magick into their ministry and share their gifts with the world."
The forward for the Awaken Your Light Body coursework states that we are about to begin a journey that is a "quantum leap" in spiritual development.
Now I'm in the integrative process and in a questioning period where I am asking what it is that I will now bring to the table.
I started up Temple Well, it's young but I'm already building the practices around it, a bit of Reiki, some of the Temple of Witchcraft training, some Light Body exercises, and pulling on the threads of experience, books and more. I'm at the threshold of something momentous for myself. I can feel it!
