I'm waxing the philosophical this week. I feel like I'm swimming in the sea of consciousness while I'm practicing practicality, and dancing with a cough. I present to you my inspirations this week, the things that make me go "hmm," and leave the comments open for discussion. Here are the things that have made me go "aaaah" during the week. Sounds True Podcast: Insights From the Edge
Give yourself time with this. It is a lot about consciousness, soul, identity, and an incredible interview with one of our Spiritual Elders, Ram Dass.
Tami Simon, Founder and Publisher of Sounds True interviews spiritual teachers, visionary writers, and living luminaries about their newest work and current challenges—the growing edge of their inner inquiry and outer contribution to the world.
More podcasts from Sounds True can be found here. I don't work for Sounds True, but I do love their interviews, books, and offerings.
Quote as food for thought
"There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. … No artist is pleased. [There is] no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others."
Consciousness, intention, and purpose, these have been my keynotes. I do hope this finds you well. I welcome, warmly your comments and open up the site to dialogue.
Ram Dass has me thinking about Soul. I had always considered it something above, or removed but I'm having the muse that I am soul, and that all things are; that my connections to all things is the Monad, the connection to Spirit through group or collective soul.
It's pretty groovy.
